More than 50 participants, more than 10 mentors, more than 10 guests, more than 54 hours of work, resulted in 10 ventures that presented their business models and prototypes to a group of jurors at the Panama Startup Weekend event at the City of Saber.<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 20 ideas made their pitch, and of these, 10 were selected and have evolved into the following 10 ventures:<\/p>\n

  1. \n

    UNE<\/u>, a mobile platform that allows users to do carpooling.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Recicla <\/u>PTY, a solution for medium-sized companies that solves the logistical problem of recycling garbage.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    CitApp<\/u>, an app that allows users to save time by helping them manage appointments for services such as hairdressing, medical services, etc.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Chef4Me<\/u>, a web platform that connects emerging chefs to provide home-delivered meals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Aidu<\/u>, a mobile platform that connects wedding service providers such as churches, florists, etc with brides.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    Zave<\/u>, a blockchain-based solution for validating professional certifications and qualifications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    Mankin<\/u>, a solution that integrates with online stores that sell shoes so that users can enter their foot measurements and buy shoes that are the correct size.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  8. \n

    Edulab<\/u>, a solution to solve the problem of teacher demotivation by offering workshops based on TIEC methodology.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  9. \n

    MusiCCollab<\/u>, a web and mobile platform that enables collaboration between musicians who wish to share soundtracks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  10. \n

    Monstri<\/u>, a mobile app that provides an educational game with psycho-emotional teaching and allows parents to be part of the process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Entrepreneurship recognition:<\/h3>\n

    The winner of this 54-hour competition was UNE, the mobile platform for carpooling. In second place was Zave, and in third place was Mankin.<\/p>\n

    All participants received prizes, but the first-place winner will represent Panama in the regional Startup Weekend<\/strong> competition.<\/p>\n

    EtyaLab <\/a>participated in this event, with the participation of Susana Lau as a mentor and sharing agile development tools.<\/p>\n

    An event organized by volunteers who gave everything to make it a success. Thanks to these volunteers for making this edition a reality in Panama and we hope to see more like this in our country!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
